ISLAMABAD: In the wake of the PTI’s possible long march, the authorities have sealed the entry routes of Red Zone by erecting containers and barbed wires.
A heavy contingent of police has been deployed at several places. The federal police have demanded 30,000 more contingent from the provinces.
Moreover, the federal government has summoned the Rangers and the FC. The administration has closed NADRA Chowk, Express Chowk and Ayub Chowk by erecting containers.
The Islamabad police said that strict action would be taken against the people violating the section 144. However, the Red Zone will remain opened for the employees working in the Red Zone from Margalla Road and Serena Chowk.
Federal Minister Rana Sanaullah said that action would be taken against the provinces supporting the long march to invade the federal capital. “The delegate the power to take action against provinces to the federal government. Today the Red Zone has been closed in the wake of the protest of the farmers,” he maintained.
