CAA awarded with ‘Right to Information Champions Award 2022’

ISLAMABAD: Right to Information Champions Award 2022 has been awarded to Pakistan Civil Aviation Authority.
The Civil Aviation Authority Director Sadiq-Ur- Rehman received the award at a ceremony held on Wednesday.
The award was presented by the Center for Peace and Development Initiative Pakistan.
Pakistan Information Commission nominated Civil Aviation for the award. The award is in recognition of the efforts made in the implementation of the Access to Information Act, 2017.
The International Day for Access to Information is celebrated on September 28 worldwide to raise awareness about People’s Right to Access Information while promoting Freedom of Information as essential to democracy, good governance, and sustainable development.
The Coalition on Right to Information (CRTI) has been working for access to information laws in Pakistan since 2012.
The award is given to a journalist, citizen, or public information officer for efforts to enforce right-to-information laws.
