KABUL, Oct 01 (NNI): The UN condemned the education center suicide bombing in Kabul, the capital of Afghanistan that left at least 23 fatalities, including students who were taking mock exams.
The UN Security Council members vehemently condemned the terrorist attack on the Kaaj education center in the Dasht-e-Barchi area of Kabul.
They extended their condolences and sympathies to the families of the victims. They also wished those who were injured, a speedy and full recovery.
The Security Council reiterated that one of the major threats to global peace and security is terrorism in all of its manifestations, underlining the imperative to hold the perpetrators of the attack accountable.
Meanwhile, the UN Assistance Mission in Afghanistan (UNAMA), also condemned the attack that targeted a Hazara-minority area of Kabul, extending condolences to the mourning.
The attack also solicited condolences and condemnation from the UN International Children’s Emergency Fund (UNICEF). In a tweet on Friday, September 30, UNICEF stated that it is “appalled” by the “heinous” attack on the Kaaj education center.
