ISLAMABAD: Though the rates of the dollar have become low against the value of the Pakistani rupee another storm of inflation has hit the masses as companies have increased the prices of different items.
In another incredible move of the manufacturer companies and the brands, the weights of their items have also been reduced to increase the profit margin in Lahore.
The channel report said that various companies have increased the prices of juices, canned milk, washing powder, and bath soup by Rs5 to Rs100 on Thursday. On the other hand, the companies have reduced the weight by increasing the prices of bath soaps.
The weight of bath soup has been reduced from 115 grams to 90 grams while its price of it has increased from Rs60 to Rs90. The laundry soaps and packets of washing powders have also become expensive by Rs60 to Rs100 while a small packet of branded juice has increased from Rs40 to Rs45 and a packet of a litre of juice has increased from Rs220 to Rs240.
As well as the price of canned milk has increased from Rs200 to Rs220.
Citizens have demanded the federal and Punjab governments take measures to reduce the prices of essential commodities.-PNP
