ISLAMABAD: Speaker National Assembly Raja Pervez Ashraf has said that parliament is plateform which represents collective wisdom. He said resolution of all challenges is possible only through supremacy of constitution and Parliament. He also added, “it is constitution which imparts supremacy to constitution. He expressed these views while addressing the Final round of the National Bilingual Declamation Contest in connection with golden jubilee celebration of constitution in Pakistan Institute of Parliamentary Services( PIPS) Islamabad today.

While appreciating the performance of contesting students from across the country, he expressed his hope that such children would make Pakistan’s future bright. He also stressed on the need to acknowledge the importance of inculcating constitution as part of syllabus at every tier of educational sector. He also added, “1973 constitution represents the sagaciousness of collective wisdom as it was first federal,
parliamentary and Islamic constitution.” He also said that it was an unmatchable political wisdom of Shaheed Zulfikar Ali Bhutto which enabled this nation to have this sacred document. He said that this constitution is sacred agreement between state and citizen which should be implemented in letter and spirit. He also appreciated the efforts of MNA Asiya Azeem, employees of PIPS and National Assembly Secretariat for successfully organizing these declamation contests.
