ISLAMABAD,:The Islamabad Traffic Police (ITP), following the special directions of Chief Traffic Officer (CTO) Captain (R) Hamzah Humayun, has implemented strong measures to maintain smooth traffic flow and prevent congestion around weekly bazaars in the federal capital. An ITP official told APP on Sunday that the initiative aims to ensure citizens’ convenience, prevent traffic jams, and maintain an organized and safe traffic system across the city.Senior traffic officers visited various bazaars to review the flow of vehicles and briefed the deployed personnel to perform their duties responsibly. Traffic staff have been stationed at all entry and exit points, parking areas, and key intersections to prevent disorder or obstruction.CTO Hamzah  emphasized that negligence in duty will not be tolerated and urged citizens to park their vehicles only in designated areas. He warned that violators would face fines and other legal action. He added that Islamabad Traffic Police remains vigilant to ensure public convenience and discipline, encouraging citizens to obey traffic laws to demonstrate civic responsibility.Protecting citizens’ lives and property while maintaining smooth traffic flow in the federal capital, he said, remains among the top priorities of the ITP.
