Bureau Report
RAWALPINDI: In a disturbing turn of events, allegations of cruelty and injustice have been leveled against Holy Family Hospital (HFH), with accusations of flouting laws and running orders based on arbitrariness. The controversy surrounds the termination of a contract between Maverick Enterprises Company and Holy Family Hospital, leading to substantial financial losses for the former.
The saga began on November 15, 2021, when Maverick Enterprises Company secured a canteen contract with Holy Family Hospital. Subsequently, at the end of the year, the contract was renewed for an additional two years after fulfilling all legal requirements, signaling a promising partnership between the two entities.
However, the situation took a drastic turn when Maverick Enterprises commenced construction and renovation work within the hospital premises on April 15, 2023. This decision inadvertently led to the suspension of canteen and tuck shop operations, rendering them non-existent. The culmination of events occurred on October 10, 2023, when Holy Family Hospital abruptly closed its doors.
Hospital officials purportedly assured Maverick Enterprises of an extension, thereby alleviating concerns. However, these promises proved to be deceitful, as HFH proceeded to demolish the canteen and associated facilities, leaving Maverick Enterprises reeling from significant financial losses amounting to crores of rupees.
In light of these developments, Maverick Enterprises is seeking justice and accountability. They are calling on higher authorities to intervene and facilitate the recovery of their substantial financial losses. The company demands a thorough investigation into the circumstances surrounding the termination of their contract and seeks restitution for the damages incurred.
This troubling episode underscores the importance of upholding contractual obligations and ensuring transparency in business dealings. As the legal battle unfolds, the spotlight remains on the hospital, prompting questions about accountability and the pursuit of justice in the face of corporate wrongdoing.
