ISLAMABAD: Islamabad capital police PS Kirpa arrested 65 outlaws during the last three months involved in a series of criminal activities, a Police Public Relations Officer said.
He said that, PS Kirpa police teams also recovered looted items worth Rs 1.19 million including gold ornaments, mobile phones, vehicles, motorcycles, drugs, liquor and weapons from their possession.
According to the details, following the special directions of Inspector General of Police Islamabad Dr Akbar Nasir Khan, special tasks were assigned to the zonal SP’s and Police teams to arrest those involved in heinous crime and recover the looted items from their possession.
PS Kirpa teams conducted a massive crackdown against the criminal elements and succeeded in apprehending 65 criminals during the last three months.
Police teams also recovered gold ornaments, vehicles, motorbikes, mobile phones, hashish, heroin, liquor and weapons with ammunition and dagger from their possession. While 13 accused involved in murder cases and 20 accused for drug peddling and possessing illegal weapons were also arrested. 15 professional baggers and handlers were arrested during the special campaign against them.
