ISLAMABAD: Muhammad Taufeeq, a renowned writer, historian, researcher and humanitarian worker was honored with the US Supreme Parliamentary award during his recent visit to Texas. All Pakistan private schools’ management association Taxila chapter reveals in a press statement issued here on Thursday. According to the statement, the award was announced and approved by the US Congresswoman Sheila Jackson Lee which was later presented to Taufeeq by her representative Turab Abbas during a simple ceremony in Houston United States. You are a true hero, and your kindness and empathy do not go unnoticed. Stated in a proclamation of congressional recognition issued over the signature of Sheila Jackson Lee, member of congress. She further noted that “It resolved that, on behalf of the constituents of the Eighteenth Congressional District of Texas, I take great pride in recognizing Muhammad Taufeeq for his service to humanity. Mr. Taufeeq has made a lasting impact on those around him through his scholarly writings, global travels, and insightful sports commentary”.Atta Ur Rehman Ch, President Pakistan private schools’ management association Taxila chapter while talking to newsmen has termed the development as a matter of pride for the Pakistani nation as well people of Taxila and Wah. He said that this act would not old improve the soft image of the country among the world community.
