ISLAMABAD: In the late hours of March 24, terrorists launched an attempted attack on the Pakistan Naval Base, PNS Siddique in Turbat. However, thanks to the swift and effective response by the Pakistani troops, the attack was thwarted, ensuring the safety and security of both personnel and assets at the base.
The security forces in the vicinity of PNS Siddique were promptly mobilized to provide support to the naval troops upon the attempted breach. Through a synergized and coordinated effort, the armed forces successfully neutralized all four terrorists involved in the attack during a joint clearance operation.
Tragically, amidst the intense exchange of fire, Sepoy Noman Fareed, a valiant soldier of the Frontier Corps Balochistan, aged 24 and hailing from Muzaffargarh, embraced martyrdom. His courageous and gallant efforts in defense of the base exemplify the unwavering dedication of Pakistani forces in safeguarding the nation’s interests.
Currently, a thorough sanitization operation is underway to eliminate any potential lingering threats posed by additional terrorists in the area. The Pakistan Armed Forces reiterate their steadfast commitment to eradicating the scourge of terrorism from the country, underscoring their resolve to uphold peace and stability at all costs.
