ISLAMABAD, Nov 03 (NNI): Keeping in view the sensitivity of the firing incident during Imran Khan’s long march on Thursday afternoon, the federal government demanded the Punjab government to form a joint investigation team (JIT).
Federal Minister for Interior Affairs Rana Sanaullah Khan made a demand to the provincial government of Chaudhry Parvez Elahi to form a high-level JIT to probe the facts behind the incident.
Rana Sanaullah also expressed regret over the firing incident in the long march of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Chairman Imran Khan and sought a report from federal investigating agencies.
Expressing serious concerns over the firing in the PTI’s long march, the federal interior minister also sought a detailed report of the incident from the Punjab Chief Secretary and Inspector General of Punjab Police. NNI
