ISLAMABAD: Prime Minister Shahbaz Sharif affirmed Pakistan’s unwavering stance on sovereignty during his address at the Inter-Faith Iftaar Dinner hosted by the Foreign Office, emphasizing the nation’s commitment to peace, economic growth, and human rights. The event, attended by diplomats and dignitaries, highlighted the spirit of inclusivity and harmony.
Reflecting on Ramadan’s universal message, Prime Minister Sharif emphasised its essence of sacrifice, self-discipline, and hospitality, stressing its relevance in today’s divided world. He underscored the need for empathy, compassion, and mutual respect amid global challenges.
Domestically, Prime Minister reiterated Pakistan’s proud legacy of diversity and equal rights, affirming the nation’s commitment to pluralism and religious freedom. On the foreign policy front, he expressed solidarity with Palestine and support for the people of Indian Illegally Occupied Jammu & Kashmir (IIOJK), while advocating for the implementation of UN resolutions.
Highlighting his government’s economic agenda, Prime Minister focused on economic revival, governance reforms, and attracting foreign investment, emphasizing bilateral cooperation and economic partnerships. He pledged proactive diplomacy in contributing to regional and global peace efforts.
