ISLAMABAD: The Federal Government has notified the appointment of Ch. Muhammad Ali Randhawa as the Chairman of the Capital Development Authority (CDA) Board. This appointment, made under Section 6 (2) of the Capital Development Authority Ordinance, 1960, comes into effect immediately and remains valid until further notice. Ch. Muhammad Ali Randhawa, a distinguished officer of the Pakistan Administrative Service (PAS) holding the rank of BS-20, currently serving as the Chief Commissioner of Islamabad Capital Territory (ICT) and an ex-officio member of the CDA Board. With this new appointment, he assumes the crucial role of leading the CDA Board, responsible for overseeing the development and management of Pakistan’s capital city, Islamabad.
In conjunction with his appointment as Chairman of the CDA Board, Ch. Muhammad Ali Randhawa, was earlier serving under the Government of Punjab as commissioner Lahore and, was transferred to the Establishment Division on April 30. This transfer directive is effective immediately and will remain in force until further orders from the authorities.
The appointment of Ch. Muhammad Ali Randhawa as Chairman of the CDA Board signifies the government’s confidence in his capabilities and leadership qualities. His extensive experience in administrative roles, coupled with his expertise in urban development, positions him as a key figure in steering the development agenda of Islamabad forward.
Ch. Muhammad Ali Randhawa’s appointment as Chairman of the CDA Board underscores the government’s commitment to effective governance and sustainable development in Islamabad. His leadership is expected to play a pivotal role in shaping the city’s future trajectory, ensuring its growth and prosperity in the years to come.
