ISLAMABAD: The Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister of Pakistan, Senator Mohammad Ishaq Dar, hosted Dr. Mohammed bin Abdulaziz Al-Khulaifi, the Minister of State for Foreign Affairs of Qatar, along with a delegation from the Qatar Investment Authority. The meeting, which took place Thursday, centered on bolstering bilateral relations and exploring avenues for collaboration in various sectors.
The discussions between the two sides primarily revolved around enhancing Pakistan-Qatar ties, particularly in the realms of trade, investment, energy, mining, and aviation. Both parties expressed a mutual desire to deepen cooperation in these key areas, underscoring the importance of fostering stronger economic relations between the two nations.

Additionally, the officials exchanged views on pressing regional and global issues, with a particular focus on the dire humanitarian situation in Gaza. Acknowledging Qatar’s active mediation efforts in the Palestine-Israel conflict, Pakistan reiterated its support for a peaceful resolution based on the establishment of a viable, sovereign State of Palestine along the pre-1967 borders, with Al Quds Al-Sharif as its capital.
