ISLAMABAD (Dateline News) – Pakistan on Wednesday condemned the assassination of Hamas’s Political Bureau Ismail chief Ismail Haniyeh in Iran capital Tehran.Foreign Office Spokesperson Mumtaz Zahra Baloch, in a statement, said “Pakistan condemns terrorism in all its forms and manifestations including extrajudicial and extraterritorial killings irrespective of the motives.”She said Pakistan is deeply shocked by the timing of this reckless act, coinciding with the inauguration of the President of Iran, an event attended by several foreign dignitaries.The spokesperson said Pakistan views with serious concern the growing Israeli adventurism in the region. She said its latest acts constitute a dangerous escalation in an already volatile region and undermine efforts for peace.NATIONAL ASSEMBLYMeanwhile, a resolution condemning the assassination of Hamas leader Ismail Haniyeh has been tabled in the National Assembly.The resolution was submitted by Maulana Ghafoor Haidari, Usman Badini, Maulana Samiuddin and Alia Kamran of the JUI Pakistan.The resolution said today, the Muslim Ummah, especially Palestine, has lost a great revolutionary leader and Mujahid.Ismail Haniyeh highlighted the issue of Palestine and atrocities committed by the Israeli forces on Palestinians at the global level. The JUI strongly condemns the attack on Palestinians, the resolution said.
