LAHORE: In a significant development within the Counter Terrorism Department (CTD), 25 CTD corporals have been promoted to Grade 14 as under-officers following a directive from Inspector General of Police Punjab, Dr. Usman Anwar. The promotions were approved during a departmental promotion board meeting held at the CTD.
According to the details, 13 corporals were promoted on a regular basis, while 12 received promotions on officiating terms. A notification regarding these promotions has been issued by DIG CTD.
Under the revised rules, CTD corporals now have the opportunity to progress up to Grade 19 in their careers. IG Punjab Dr. Usman Anwar congratulated the promoted corporals, extending his best wishes for their future endeavors. He also acknowledged the special interest taken by Chief Minister Punjab, Maryam Nawaz Sharif, in facilitating these promotions.
Dr. Usman Anwar urged the newly promoted officers to respond to this advancement with increased dedication and commitment to their duties. He emphasized the importance of the permanent elimination of elements involved in terrorism, sectarianism, and extremism, along with their facilitators. He further directed that the pursuit of enemies of peace and order should continue with full force, ensuring that they are brought to justice through intelligence-based operations.
