Islamabad, Lahore Riots spread on social media after the murder of three young girls in the UK. The investigation of the Pakistani accused arrested in Lahore has revealed that the accused had committed this act alone, in the UK. As a result of the investigation, it has also been revealed that Farhan Asif, a Pakistani citizen involved in spreading riots in Britain due to fake news, had done this action alone. The accused not only provided false news to the British public but also managed to convince the British Broadcasting Corporation (BBC) that a team of people from different countries had been prepared to work for the website Channel 3 Now. And also that the fake news is being spread by another team member, not him. Lahore Police traced the accused through face trace technology using a photo aired on ITV a few days ago and arrested him. Since the offense committed by the accused fell under the jurisdiction of FIA, he was later handed over to the agency which registered a case against him and started investigation. Farhan’s case came to light on July 29 when three girls were stabbed to death in the British coastal city of Southport. That day, the suspect posted an article with the headline: “17-year-old Ali Al-Shakati arrested in connection with stabbing incident in Southport, England.” There was a false claim that the refugee had been arrested. The news was widely shared on social media, leading to uproar and riots by people with far-right leanings. Investigation revealed that Farhan is a 31-year-old computer science graduate. He is a web developer and runs the Channel 3 Now website. The accused has no background in journalism. The accused used to run news by collecting sensational news from western countries and this was a source of income for him as rich countries earn more from click hits. He never went to Britain. Went to Saudi Arabia for Umrah only once. Lives in a rented house in the Defense Housing Authority. His brother is a police constable. He earns three to four lakh rupees per month from sensational news platforms. He has told these things to the investigators. His bank statement has not been focused on yet. He used to earn money from various social media sites and his YouTube and Facebook accounts have been suspended. During interrogation, Farhan said that he bought the Facebook ID “Kevin” from Google and used it to share news. He also admitted that he used it to divert attention from his side of the conversation with the BBC. He further told investigators that he took the news from another website and shared it on a Twitter account run by a woman based in the UK. This woman has also been arrested. Farhan was the third person to share the news through his website and social media accounts. Shahzeb, the host of the program Aaj Shahzeb Khanzada on Geo News, presented his analysis and said that the worst riots and chaos in Britain last month in thirteen years. After the events, the administration there is trying to get to the root of the riots, along with the arrest of those involved in the riots and their speedy trial, which was caused by misinformation and fake news after the July 29 incident in Southport. A news website with links to Pakistan played an important role in the outbreak. On July 29, a 17-year-old man was stabbed three times during an event in Southport, northern England. Sun girls were killed while ten people were injured. Some time after this incident, the police arrested the accused, but the incident was misrepresented on social media as a murder by a Muslim refugee and then a website called Channel 3 Now. Further fueling the false news, the attacker was given a fake Muslim name and the news wrote that the person had come to Britain by boat last year and was on the watch list of the British Intelligence Agency. It has led to incidents of incitement in which hundreds of people have been arrested. Convictions have been handed down and at this point in the UK, actions are being taken against those involved in these riots. In this regard, FIA has arrested a person named Farhan Asif in Lahore, who is said to be related to a website called Channel 3 Now. According to DIG Operations Faisal Kamran, a person from Defense, Farhan Asif, has been detained. Farhan Asif has been handed over to FIA for further investigation. Farhan Asif works for a news platform in Pakistan. Farhan Asif is accused of giving fake news about the identity of the killer of three girls in Britain. Fake news led to violent protests in Britain. According to the statement of DIG operation, the accused was investigated and he was found involved in giving fake news. Today, the news of the arrest of Farhan Asif came out. While on August 15, the British broadcasting organization ITV News reported a sting operation through its representative in Lahore. It has now come to light that the riots that took place in different parts of the country last week
