LAHORE: The Punjab government has announced a significant reshuffle in the provincial bureaucracy, involving key appointments and transfers across various departments.
Saulat Saqib, previously serving as Member of the Punjab Revenue Authority, has been transferred and appointed as Member of the Chief Minister’s Inspection Team.
Tariq Mahmood, who was awaiting posting, has been appointed as Member of the Punjab Revenue Authority.
Agha Nabeel Akhtar, who held the position of Additional Secretary in the Specialized Healthcare Department, has been appointed as Special Secretary of Marketing and Development in the Agriculture Department. Whereas, Muhammad Ameen Owaisi, the Director General of the Punjab Agriculture Marketing Regulatory Authority, has been directed to report to the Services Department.
Muhammad Tanveer Jhandir, Additional Secretary of the Finance Department, South Punjab, has been transferred to the Punjab Revenue Authority.
Omer Iftikhar Shirazi, Deputy Secretary of the Public Prosecution Department, has also been transferred to the Punjab Revenue Authority.
Tariq Ali Basra, formerly the Additional Secretary of Culture in the Information and Culture Department, has been appointed as Director General of the Punjab Agriculture Marketing Regulatory Authority.
Muhammad Usman Tahir, Additional Secretary of the Higher Education Department, has been appointed as Additional Secretary of Culture in the Information and Culture Department.
Zahida Azhar, Additional Secretary of the Specialized Healthcare Department, has been appointed as Additional Secretary of the Higher Education Department.
Sajjad Ahmed Khan has been appointed as Additional Secretary of the Specialized Healthcare Department.
Dr. Muhammad Waheed Asghar Bhatti has also been appointed as Additional Secretary of the Specialized Healthcare Department.
Hafiz Ahmed Tariq, Additional Commissioner Revenue in Gujranwala, has been appointed as Secretary Revenue, Board of Revenue.
Aftab Ahmed has been appointed as Additional Commissioner Revenue in Gujranwala.
Munawar Hussain, Director Revenue, Punjab Overseas Pakistanis Commission, has been appointed as Additional Commissioner of Stabilization in Bahawalpur.
Adnan Rashid has been appointed as Deputy Secretary in the Information and Culture Department.
Ambreen Chaudhry, Section Officer in the School Education Department, has been appointed as Deputy Secretary in the School Education Department.
Sajid Munir has been appointed as Deputy Secretary in the Energy Department.
These changes are part of the Punjab government’s ongoing efforts to streamline administrative functions and enhance the efficiency of various departments.
