Dateline Investigation Cell
KARACHI: In a shocking development in the Natasha case, a secret investigation has been initiated against Dr. Chunni Lal, the doctor who initially declared Natasha mentally ill and had her sent to court. Allegations have surfaced that Dr. Chunni Lal accepted a hefty bribe from Natasha’s family through a police officer, leading to the questionable diagnosis.
According to credible sources, Dr. Chunni Lal is accused of taking a bribe of 2.5 million rupees from Natasha’s family on the very first day of the case. This alleged bribe was reportedly facilitated by a police officer, who acted as an intermediary between the family and the doctor. The purpose of the bribe was to ensure that Natasha was declared mentally ill, which would have significant implications for the case and its legal proceedings.
The case took a dramatic turn when, following a tweet by Bakhtawar Bhutto, Dr. Chunni Lal issued a written statement contradicting his earlier diagnosis. In this new statement, the doctor declared Natasha completely normal and healthy. This sudden change has raised serious concerns and led to accusations of misconduct against the doctor.
In response to this suspicious reversal, the Sindh government has decided to take strict action. High-level officials have ordered a thorough investigation into the matter to determine the extent of the wrongdoing and to hold those responsible accountable.
The Sindh Health Department has also initiated its own investigation into the allegations against Dr. Chunni Lal. The department aims to ascertain whether there were any procedural lapses or unethical behavior involved in the doctor’s diagnosis and subsequent retraction.
The case has sparked widespread outrage, with many calling for swift and transparent action against those involved in the alleged bribery. The incident has also raised questions about the integrity of the medical and legal processes in such high-profile cases.
As the investigation unfolds, all eyes are on the Sindh government and the Health Department to see how they handle this sensitive matter. The outcome of the investigation could have far-reaching consequences, not only for those directly involved but also for the broader public trust in the healthcare and legal systems.
