MUZAFFARABAD, Nov 04 (NNI): A two-member delegation of European Parliament visited Muzaffarabad and met the Prime Minister of Azad Jammu and Kashmir, Sardar Tanveer Ilyas Khan.
According to Kashmir Media Service, the EU members Juvin Herve and Virginie Joron discussed with the AJK Prime Minister the latest situation of Indian illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir.
The AJK Prime Minister on the occasion said that India was constantly involved in grave human rights violation in IIJOK. He said after scraping the special status of the occupied territory on August 5, 2019, the Modi-led fascist Indian government has snatched all the basic human rights of the Kashmiri people. He denounced India’s attempt to change the demography of IIOJK by issuing domiciles to Indian residents to convert the Muslim majority into a minority.
Sardar Tanveer Ilyas said that Indian forces’ personnel were martyring the Kashmiri people and destroying their residential houses and properties on a daily bases. He also said that Modi regime was hell-bent to cripple the economy of the territory by targeting various business outlets.
The AJK Prime Minister deplored the silence of the international community on the Indian brutalities in IIOJK. He maintained that Pakistan wanted peace in the region and the peaceful settlement of issues between India and Pakistan, particularly the Kashmir dispute which was lingering from over seven decades.
