Lahore:Inspector General of Police Punjab, Dr. Usman Anwar, have said that Punjab Police has successfully completed another project aimed at providing digital policing services to citizens, which will enhance convenience for residents of Lahore’s suburbs. Dr. Usman Anwar said that over 100 service centers across the province are offering digitized policing services. This year, 1,886,360 citizens have availed more than 14 services from these centers. He emphasized that the Punjab Police is not only combating crime but also making service delivery specifically easier for citizens, with plans to further expand the scope of Police Khidmat Marakaz alongside smart city initiatives. During the inauguration of the state-of-the-art Police Khidmat Marakaz on Soay Asal Raiwind Road, ASP Kahna Moaz ur Rahman cut the ribbon under the leadership of IG Punjab Dr. Usman Anwar. IG Punjab Dr. Usman Anwar mentioned that this police service center, developed in collaboration with a private housing scheme, is equipped with modern technology and facilities, allowing residents to obtain police character certificates, police verifications, license renewals, and tenancy registrations all under one roof. Dr. Usman Anwar added that today’s inauguration marks the 19th Police Khidmat Marakaz in the provincial capital, with 18 centers already operational. He highlighted that projects with advanced infrastructure and technology are being initiated to ensure citizens have access to policing services at their doorstep. The event was attended by SP Model Town and other senior officers.
