ISLAMABAD :Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) has threatened to stage protest at D-Chowk on October 15 in an attempt to disrupt the Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO) summit. The protest call was given after the hurriedly called meeting of PTI on Friday. The party has been directed to make arrangements for the protest at D-Chowk on Oct 15.PTI leader Sheikh Waqas Akram directed the party workers to complete the arrangements for the protest.Pakistan is set to host the international event after several years that would be attended by over a dozen head of states. More than 900 foreign delegations including 200 international journalists would be present in the federal capital for the SCO summit. It is being feared that the protest of PTI in Islamabad at the time of SCO summit may affect the diplomatic relations of Pakistan.Official circles are wary of the motives of PTI which seems bent on sabotaging the all-important SCO.There is already Section 144 in place in Rawalpindi and Islamabad and any such move will be a violation.
