ISLAMABAD: Azhar Sajjad is credited with starting inclusive education in low-income private educational institutions. The Letter of Understanding between the Directorate of Special Education and the Private Schools Network is a big milestone. These views were expressed by Founder and Central President Private Schools Network Islamabad Dr. Muhammad Afzal Babar during a meeting with Director General Special Education Sheikh Azhar Sajjad on his retirement. He said that during his tenure, the survey of every special child in the federal capital, their enrollment in educational institutions and large-scale professional training of teachers were prominent. His movement facilitated the admission of special children in low-income private educational institutions. Retired Director General Special Education Sheikh Azhar Sajjad also thanked Dr. Afzal Babar, head of the representative organization of low-income private educational institutions, and his entire team, with whose cooperation ramps were built for special people in private educational institutions and hundreds of special children were admitted to educational institutions near their residence. He indicated that even after retirement, he would devote his services to teacher training, education of special children and establishment of inclusive education centers in educational institutions. Chairman Islamabad Board of Education Chaudhry Muhammad Arshad, while thanking the DG Special Education, said that the first campus of inclusive education has been established in Bhara Kahu at The Rise International School, where all facilities will be provided to learning disabled children under their own support. PSN Patron-in-Chief Professor Dr. Abdul Rauf Bhatta, Central General Secretary Maqbool Hussain Dar, Zonal President Bhara Kahu Muhammad Salim Khan and other officials were present in the meeting.
