Lahore:On the personal efforts of Inspector General of Police Punjab, Dr. Usman Anwar, the federal government has issued an NOC for providing financial grants to the families of senior police officers who passed away during service. According to the Punjab Police spokesperson, after receiving approval from the federal government, the Punjab government has released the funds. The issue of disbursement of relief funds has been delayed for several years. Due to IG Punjab Dr. Usman Anwar’s personal efforts, the federal government issued the NOC for the release of funds.The Punjab Police spokesperson shared that under the Federal Assistance Package, a relief package has been approved for the families of senior police officers who passed away during service. A total of 35 million rupees have been approved for the families of five deceased senior police officers, to be allocated for the purchase of plots. The officers who passed away include Kamran Yousaf Malik, Abrar Hussain, Mohammad Imtiaz Mahmood, Rana Latif Khan, and Dr. Muhammad Atif Ikram. Each family of the deceased police officer will receive 7 million rupees.
