Lahore:Inspector General of Police Punjab, Dr. Usman Anwar, is firmly dedicated to the health welfare of police employees and their families. In this regard, an additional fund of Rs. 3.96 million has been released for the treatment of employees and their families suffering from serious illnesses. Punjab Police spokesperson shared the details, according that Constable Muhammad Atif and Driver Constable Fayyaz Ullah have been granted Rs. 500,000 each for major surgeries. Constable Zafarullah has been provided Rs. 250,000 for the treatment of his wife, and Constable Adnan Malik has received Rs. 250,000 for his daughter’s treatment. The wife of martyred Inspector Muhammad Rafiq and ASI Sadiq Haider have been granted Rs. 200,000 each for medical expenses. Constable Tariq Javed and retired Constable Muhammad Yousaf have collectively been provided Rs. 280,000 for their treatment. Constable Sohail Ahmed, retired Constable Sher Baz, and Constable Qamar Mehmood have been granted Rs. 100,000 each for their medical expenses. Retired Inspector Irshad Ullah, Constable Shahbaz Ali, and Traffic Assistant Faiz-ur-Rehman have each been allocated Rs. 100,000 for treatment. Sub-Inspector Abdul Rauf, Traffic Assistant Muhammad Jahangir, and Constable Fakhar Hussain have also been granted Rs. 100,000 each for their medical expenses. Constable Ghulam Mustafa and Constable Anwar Hussain have each been given Rs. 100,000 for their treatment. ASI Sajid Ali, Constable Muhammad Amin, Constable Muhammad Ramzan, and Naib Qasid Muhammad Yousaf have collectively been granted Rs. 260,000 for their medical needs. Similarly, retired Constable Farzand Ali, gardener Zakir Hussain, and late Constable Ahmad Yar’s family have been provided a total of Rs. 200,000 for the treatment of themselves and their families. Constable Muhammad Sohail, the widow of late Office Superintendent Imran Ali, Constable Asif Shehzad, and the widow of late Sub-Inspector Karamat Ali have collectively been provided Rs. 300,000 for their treatment.
IG Punjab Dr. Usman Anwar approved the disbursement of the above-mentioned funds after scrutiny by the Medical Financial Assistance Committee. IG Punjab further said that under MOUs with various institutions, employees are also being provided with best modern medical facilities.
