Lahore:An officer guilty of corruption in the Planning and Development Department in Punjab has been arrested.
Taking action on a complaint of corruption in the Ministry of Planning and Development, Anti-Corruption Punjab has arrested and registered a case against Assistant Chief Industries of the P&D Board Muhammad Ahmed Mufleh-ur-Rehman.
The accused took a bribe of lakhs of rupees on the pretext of including schemes in the annual development program.
Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz says that corruption is a red line that cannot be tolerated under any circumstances. The public should report complaints immediately. Action will be taken against corrupt elements without discrimination. There is zero tolerance against corruption at any level.
