ISLAMABAD: Federal Government Employees Housing Foundation Authority (FGEHA) and Sky Garden have jointly launched an affordable housing scheme for federal government employees on Tuesday.
The project is located on Murree Expressway in the jurisdiction of Tehsil Murree.
The Sky Garden Housing project was inaugurated by Federal Minister for Housing, Maulana Abdul Wasay.
According to project, some 5000 federal government employees will get plots on subsidised rates.Federal Minister for Housing, Maulana Abdul Wasay, while addressing the ceremony, said that the government created this authority to fulfill the basic needs of government employeesPeople will be able to get affordable housing facilities in these government housing schemes by paying a small amount.
He said Sky Garden project has been stalled since last few years but now it will be completed in shortest possible time.
The minister said required funds will be made available to complete the housing scheme.
He also announced quota for journalists and lawyers in this scheme.
Secretary Housing Iftikhar Shilwani said that this project was delayed for a long time but it has to go ahead now,Chaudhry Ismail, joint venture partner of Sky Garden Housing Scheme said that today we got to see the day we were waiting for.
“We want to complete this project as soon as possible, we went out of the way and housing authority. Supported, we wish to provide developed plots to the housing authority members”, he added.
Mr Ismail said they have told the housing authority that his company will not take mobilization advance and started the workDG Federal Government Employees Housing Authority Tariq Rasheed said 7000 kanal land has been acquired and 5000 employees will be allotted the plots.
