Newly appointed Superintendents and Deputy Superintendents of Police called on Additional Inspector General of Riot Management Police, Khurram Shakur. DIG Riot Management Police Asad Sarfraz Khan was also present on the occasion. Among those who met the Additional IG were SP Riot Management Police Multan Region Tanveer Ahmad, SP RMP Sargodha Region Akhtar Hussain, and nine newly posted DSPs. Additional IG RMP Khurram Shakur encouraged the officers joining the Riot Management Police and briefed them on the department’s structure, objectives, legal framework, and operational targets. He emphasized that RMP officers and personnel must ensure the proper implementation of security SOPs and effective use of available resources during duty. He further said that discipline, patience, and steadfastness must be the hallmark of their conduct, especially in challenging situations. The welfare of officers and personnel remains a top priority, he added, and under the vision of Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz, ensuring law and order is the core mission of the Riot Management Police.DIG RMP Asad Sarfraz Khan expressed confidence that the Riot Management Police, through modern techniques and professional competence, will bring the government’s vision to fruition. Officers and personnel deployed in regions and districts are well-trained and highly motivated to perform their duties effectively. According to the Punjab Police spokesperson, the newly appointed officers assured the Additional IG RMP of their full cooperation and commitment.
