ISLAMABAD: Director General (DG) Safe City Muhammad Haroon Joya chaired a meeting on Friday, directing enhanced surveillance and operational readiness across the federal capital.An official told APP that SSP Safe City Dr. Muhammad Iqbal, Director IT Atif Abbas, and virtual police officers also attended the meeting.He said DG Haroon instructed officers to intensify monitoring through Safe City cameras, strengthen crime prevention efforts, and ensure smooth traffic flow across Islamabad. Surveillance at recreational areas, markets, key public spots and sensitive locations would be further increased, he added.Additionally, virtual police officers were directed to ensure swift detection of criminal groups and expedite coordinated action for their arrest.The official reaffirmed that Safe City Islamabad is fully committed to harnessing modern technology for real-time crime prevention and the safety of citizens in the federal capital.
