ISLAMABAD,:Islamabad Capital Territory (ICT) Police conducted a grand search and combing operation in the Secretariat police station jurisdiction as part of ongoing efforts to curb crime and strengthen public security in the federal capital.

An official told APP on Monday that during the operation, a total of 60 individuals, 40 houses, four shops, five vehicles, and 35 motorcycles were thoroughly checked, while 17 suspicious persons were shifted to the police station for further legal proceedings.The operation was carried out on the directions of Inspector General of Police (IGP) Islamabad Syed Ali Nasir Rizvi, who has ordered strict action against criminal elements across the city.Deputy Inspector General (DIG) Islamabad Muhammad Jawad Tariq said that the primary objective of these operations is to tighten the security cordon around criminal networks and reinforce the overall security framework of the federal capital.He added that Islamabad Police will continue indiscriminate actions against criminals, drug dealers, land grabbers and anti-social elements to ensure peace and safety for citizens.
