RAWALPINDI: Commissioner Rawalpindi Engr Aamir Khattak, accompanied by Regional Police Officer (RPO) Babar Sarfraz Alpa, on Tuesday visited Gurdwara Sri Punja Sahib in Hassan Abdal to review security and administrative arrangements ahead of the celebrations marking the 556th birth anniversary of Baba Guru Nanak.Deputy Commissioner Attock Rao Atif Raza, District Police Officer (DPO) Sardar Moharram Khan and other police and administrative officers were also present.During the visit, the commissioner and the RPO examined security and organisational measures in detail. The deputy commissioner and the DPO briefed them on the security plan, monitoring of entry and exit points, checking arrangements, CCTV surveillance, traffic management and facilities being extended to the visiting pilgrims.They were informed that foolproof security had been ensured in and around the gurdwara, while route plans, parking areas, accommodation, sanitation, medical camps, drinking water arrangements, traffic management and other municipal services had been fully organised for pilgrims arriving from within the country and abroad.
