RAWALPINDI: The launch of the book “Muta-e-Aziz” by Prof. Dr. Aziz Ahmed Hashmi, head of National Anthem Foundation, was held in Punjab Arts Council.
The event was presided over by Vice Chancellor of Jamia Al Karam International University Hazrat Pir Dr. Muhammad Abul Hasan Shah Sahib Al Azhari.
Former Federal Parliamentary Secretary for Ministry of Law and former judge of Lahore High Court Akhtar Hasan Malik participated in the event as a special guest. Former Ameer Al-Bahr Admiral Abdulazir Mirza attended the book launch as a guest of honour.
Ayesha Masood performed the duties of host in the ceremony.
The ceremony started with the national anthem, in which the elite of Anjuman Faiz-e-Salam gave a salute.
The host of the event Major General (retd) Waqar Ahmad Khan thanked the guests and the participants for attending the book launching ceremony.
The President of the event, Dr. Muhammad Abul Hasan Shah Sahib Al-Azhari, while addressing the audience and dignitaries, urged them to study Muta Aziz and urged the young generation not to think of Muta Aziz as just a book.
Rather, they should be guided by the thoughts and observations of Professor Aziz Ahmed Hashmi. If they do so, there will be progress towards the establishment of a righteous society.
Professor Dr. Aziz Ahmad Khan expressed his views and said that the students and the new generation should try to understand the objectives of the national anthem and ensure its implementation. So that a virtuous society can be formed.
Renowned journalist Dr. Zahid Chaghatai described Muta Aziz as the best role model in Urdu communication. Renowned poet Naseem Sahar presented a written essay while Akbar Khan Niazi described Muta Aziz as a source of guidance for the new generation.
Prominent writer Qayyum Tahir called Muta Uzair a masterpiece as the best example of smoothness and fluency.
Chaudhry Muhammad Ashraf, Dr. Riaz Ahmed, Raja Muhammad Amin, Professor Inam Muhammad, Brigadier (Rtd) Khalid Mehmood, Anjum Hafeez Qureshi, Imran Qureshi, Nusrat Yab Khan, Abrar Ahmed Khan and other speakers paid tribute to Aziz Ahmed Khan.
Saying that at the age of 78, Professor Aziz Ahmed Hashmi has written a book in which he has presented his memories in a very beautiful way from his childhood, youth and then entering old age.
