FAISALABAD:The Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) Faisalabad has recovered Rs7 million from accused involved in a visa fraud case and returned the amount to affected woman, providing major relief to the victim of overseas employment scam.According to FIA officials, the action was taken by the Composite Circle Faisalabad during inquiry No.1973/25, initiated on a complaint filed by Gojra-based woman, Gulshan Ara, against accused Sumaira Bano alias Somi and her accomplices. The accused had fraudulently obtained Rs7 million from the complainant on the pretext of arranging a UK work permit.
On the directions of Director FIA Faisalabad Zone, the Inquiry Officer conducted the probe on merit and ensured effective legal proceedings, resulting in the successful recovery of the looted amount, which was subsequently handed back to the victim.FIA authorities reiterated their commitment to curb human smuggling and visa fraud, urging citizens to approach only licensed and authorized agents for overseas employment and immediately report any suspicious activity to the agency. They warned that strict legal action would continue against those involved in defrauding innocent people under the guise of providing foreign job opportunities.
