ISLAMABAD: The post of Director Land and Metropolitan Planning and Traffic Engineering of Rawalpindi Development Authority (RDA) has been withdrawn from Malik Ghazanfar Awan. Cancelled, Chief Secretary Punjab has appointed Malik Ghazanfar Awan as Director of Land Development in RDA on the instructions of Governor Punjab.
According to the details, the Punjab government recently issued the notification of the non-technical officer Malik Ghazanfar Awan in charge of the seat of Director Land and State Management and Metropolitan and Traffic Engineering in the Rawalpindi Development Authority (RDA), has become ineffective after being issued by the Government of Punjab in this regard.
In the latest revised notification, it has been clarified that the post of Grade 18 PMS Officer Malik Ghazanfar Ali Awan should be read as Director (Land Development) instead of Director (Land & MP&TE). The notification was issued by the Chief Secretary Punjab on the order of the Governor of Punjab, which has come into effect immediately. By issuing an order to give additional charge of Metropolitan Planning and Traffic Engineering, the orders of the Governor of Punjab have been scattered.
The addition of a junior and non-technical officer to a technical post in the presence of 9 senior town planners in the organization by YGRDA has become a question mark which shows that, there is something wrong. The seat of Director Metropolitan and Traffic Engineering is a technical officer seat on which only town planners can be appointed. Town planners are serving on this seat throughout Punjab, but non-technical officers on this seat in DGRDA. It has become a question mark to ignore 9 senior town planners officers of his own organization by giving additional charge to.
