7 criminals held; weapons and narcotics recovered

ISLAMABAD: Islamabad Capital police apprehended seven criminals involved in criminal activities and recovered hashish, heroin, ice and weapons with ammunition from their possession, a police public relations officer said.
He said that, DIG Operations Sohail Zafar Chatha had ordered all zonal officers to curb the crime in their respective areas and arrest those involved in criminal activities and looting innocent people.
Following these directives, a Golra police team arrested two drug peddlers namely Haji khalid and Dawood Khan and recovered 3288 gram hashish,533 gram heroin and 537 gram ice from their possession. Likewise, the Koral police team arrested an accused namely Sartaj and recovered one iron punch from his possession.
Similarly, the Sihala police team arrested an accused namely Malik wali and recovered one 30 bore pistol with ammunition from his possession.
Cases have been registered against the nabbed accused and further investigation is underway. During a special crackdown against proclaimed offenders and court absconders police teams arrested 03 accused from different areas of a city.
DIG Operations Sohail Zafar Chatha said that the safety of the lives and property of the citizens is our prime responsibility and no laxity will be tolerated in this regard.
