– Says Nawaz will himself decide about his return to Pakistan

Staff Reporter
LAHORE: Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) vice president Maryam Nawaz on Tuesday accused former prime minister and Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) chairman Imran Khan of seeking NRO by holding meetings in the President House and resort to threats when not given NRO.
Addressing a press conference in Lahore on Tuesday, she said: “the case in which I was asked to surrender my passport and submit surety worth Rs700 million three years ago is yet to be filed,” Maryam claimed, adding that just as she had applied to get her passport, she will file an application to quash the other cases against her and recover the surety.
The PML-N leader said that she is happy to get her passport but who will answer for violating her rights?
She said that she was not satisfied with her party’s government, adding that the country isn’t facing threats on external front, but by instability and Pakistan will progress when Imran Khan would be removed from Pakistan s politics.
Maryam Nawaz has announced filing an application against the case in which her passport was captured but is now provided on the orders of the court.
Maryam raised the question that why her passport was seized when no case was registered with the police and no reference was filed in NAB.
Criticizing rival Imran Khan said that when he was in power, he liked the institutions very well but when was refused to change his nappies, he abused the word ‘neutral’. She said Imran Khan has made a word like neutral an abuse, adding that he also launched a campaign against the victims of the helicopter crash.
The PML-N leader said when the Chief Election Commissioner caught Imran Khan’s theft, he became evil and corrupt. She said Imran Khan wants those neutrals who will give him a vote of confidence and if they start changing his nappies today, all is well.
She said the officer who asked Imran Khan about the diamond necklaces as a bribe for his wife, turned against him.
She said that the country will make progress if ‘Fitna’ is thrown out of politics.
The Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz Vice President has said that she would soon fly to London to visit her father [Nawaz Sharif] — whom she hasn’t seen in person for the last three years due to the confiscation of her passport.
Maryam Nawaz said that she had received her passport and would soon visit London to meet her father and for surgery. “I will leave for London soon to meet my father and for a surgery which could not be performed in Pakistan as it is a rare surgery,” she added.
In response to a question, Maryam said that Nawaz will himself decide about his return to Pakistan as his way to return back to homeland is clear. “The way for Nawaz’s return is clear. All we have to do is submit an application in the court.”
Talking about Imran Khan’s forthcoming long march, Maryam said the former premier was raising hue and cry after failing to get any relief from the powers.
The PML-N leader also called for dealing with PTI’s long march with an iron fist, saying the party should not be allowed to hold a march towards Islamabad. NNI
