Eight outlaws held; weapons and drugs seized

ISLAMABAD: Islamabad Capital police apprehended 08 criminals involved in criminal activities and recovered drugs and weapons with ammunition from their possession, a police public relations officer said.
He said that, DIG Operations Sohail Zafar Chatha had ordered all zonal officers to curb the crime in their respective areas and arrest those involved in criminal activities and looting innocent people.
Following these directives, a Tarnol police team arrested 03 accused namely Rashid, Mohsin khan and Sheraz and recovered 1070 gram hashish, one 12 bore rifle and one 30 bore pistol from their possession. Likewise, the Ramna police team arrested two accused namely Muhammad Atif and Shehbaz and recovered liquor from their possession.
Similarly, the Industrial Area police team arrested an accused namely Gujjar Badshah involved in illegal oil selling. Shahzad Town police arrested two accused namely Mubammad Zain and Naseer Ahmed and recovered 1150 gram hashish and one 30 bore pistol from their possession.
Moreover, Koral police arrested two accused namely Tahir Iqbal and recovered 1050 gram hashish from his possession. Cases have been registered against the nabbed accused and further investigation is underway.
DIG Operations Sohail Zafar Chatha said that the safety of the lives and property of the citizens is our prime responsibility and no laxity will be tolerated in this regard.
