27th Annual General Meeting of Punjab Municipal Development Fund Company (PMDFC) Held

ISLAMABAD, Oct 26 (NNI): A five-member team of Pakistan’s Civil Aviation Authority (CAA) held an important meeting with the officials of European Union Aviation Safety Agency (EASA) in Brussels for the removal of a ban on the flights of Pakistan International Airlines (PIA) to Europe.
During the meeting, the CAA team briefed the EASA officials about the stringent measures such as the safety oversight and the pilot licensing and registration for the restoration of the PIA flights to the European countries.
The EASA officials asked questions from the CAA team about the steps that had been taken by the aviation authorities in Pakistan. They also sought written evidence from the CAA team in this regard.
The EASA officials will inform the CAA authorities in a few days about their satisfaction over the steps taken for the restoration of the PIA flights to the European countries.
The EASA officials will also arrive in Pakistan to visit the PIA and the CAA if they are satisfied with the steps taken by the aviation authorities of Pakistan. The informed sources have said that the restoration of the PIA flights to the European countries will take more time. It is to be noted here that the EASA authorities are yet to be satisfied with the CAA briefings for the restoration of the PIA flights to the European countries since July 2020. NNI
