KARACHI, Oct 28 (NNI): Karachi’s Administrator Barrister Murtaza Wahab has said the Karachi Metropolitan Corporation (KMC) serves as the nursery of Pakistan’s democratic system as people who earlier had remained members of the City Council later became active politicians and served the country and the nation.
Karachi’s Administrator stated this on Friday as the Sindh Ministers and leaders of the Pakistan People’s Party on Friday visited the KMC building on MA Jinnah Road.
Karachi’s Administrator welcomed the provincial ministers and PPP leaders at the KMC building.
Barrister Wahab briefed the delegation about ongoing development works in Karachi, repair and maintenance of roads, installation of street lights, beautification of underpasses and flyovers, and upcoming uplift schemes in the provincial capital.
Speaking on the occasion, PPP Sindh President Nisar Khuhhro acknowledged that Barrister Wahab as Karachi’s Administrator had been serving the provincial capital to the best of his ability without any discrimination. He mentioned that recent heavy monsoon rains had caused massive damage to the civic infrastructure of Karachi but the same was being restored due to timely action by Barrister Wahab. The delegation visited the KMC building in detail and inspected the newly renovated City Council hall and historic clock tower that was also recently repaired. The delegation members praised the repair and renovation works at the KMC building. NNI
