LAHORE, Oct 28 (NNI): Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf chairman and former prime minister Imran Khan Friday said his long march has no political objectives but it is aimed at gaining real independence.
The march started Liberty Chowk Lahore after Imran Khan delivered a brief speech and said the march will remain peaceful;.
“Time has come to start the journey for haqiqi azadi (real freedom),” he told several thousands of his supporters.
“Objectives of the march are neither personal nor political but we want to free the nation from slavery,” the PTI chief said.
He said that decisions regarding Pakistan should be taken here not in Washington. “No one should direct Pakistan to join others’ wars.”
He said the people of Pakistan are facing the worst inflation because “thieves” are ruling the country. He renewed his demand for fair and transparent elections in the country is not an unconditional demand.
Imran Khan criticized the press conference by the ISI chief Lt Gen Nadim Anjum and said the DG ISI criticised him but did not say anything about the plunders. NNI
