Seven criminals held; valuables and weapons recovered

ISLAMABAD: Islamabad Capital police apprehended 07 criminals and recovered
cash, valuables and weapons with ammunition from their possession, a police public relations officer said.
He said that, DIG Operations Sohail Zafar Chatha had ordered all Divisional Police officers to curb the crime in their respective areas and arrest those involved in looting innocent people.
Following these directives, the Tarnol police arrested an accused namely Sardar Wali and recovered one 9mm Pistol from his possession. Ramna police arrested an accused involved in pickpocketing namely Arbaz and recovered cash and valuables from his possession.
Likewise, Kirpa police arrested an accused namely Abu Khalid and recovered one 30 bore pistol
from his possession. Koral police raided the Sheesha Center and arrested two accused namely Muhamad Mugheer and Mohsin and recovered hookah and flavors from their possession.
Cases have been registered against the nabbed accused and further investigation is underway. During a special crackdown against proclaimed offenders and court absconders police teams arrested two accused from different areas of a city.
The DIG Operations Sohail Zafar Chatha said that the safety of the lives and property of the citizens is our prime responsibility and no laxity will be tolerated in this regard.
