LAHORE: Amid threats to life of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Chairman Imran Khan, police commandos from Khyber Pakhtunkhwa have taken over security of Zaman Park where wounded former prime minister is staying after receiving bullet wounds in Wazirabad attack.
As per the details garnered, more than 15 Kyber Pakhtunkhwa police commandos have reached Zaman Park to perform security duties of Imran Khan. The commandos will be deputed in close circle.
Earlier Friday, after threat alert issued for the PTI chairman, the security around his residence, Zaman Park has been tightened. The strict security arrangements have been made by deployment of heavy contingents to make security foolproof.
The sandbags have been placed on the walls around his residence along with the cement blocks to avoid any mishap.
Besides it, the entry and exit points of Zaman Park have also been secured with check posts and police have been deployed to keep an eye on any suspicious movement. Apart from this, more security cameras were installed in Zaman Park and heavy police force was also deployed.
