Govt making efforts to resolve issues of telecom industry: Amin

ISLAMABAD, Nov 17 (APP): Federal Minister for IT and Telecommunication Syed Amin Ul Haque on Thursday said the government was making all possible efforts to resolve the issues of the telecom industry as the economic stability of the country was linked to uplift of it.
“We are well aware of the departmental issues confronted by the country’s telecom industry, and struggling to settle these issues to stabilize investment in the IT and telecom sector,” he said this while talking to Chief Executive Officer (CEO) Jazz Aamir Ibrahim, CEO Telenor Irfan Wahab Khan and Hatem Bamatraf of Ufone.
Heads of the telecom companies apprised the Federal Minister for IT about different issues of the telecom industry. They also offered thanks to IT Minister Syed Amin Ul Haque for his strong cooperation with the telecom industry.
He said the government was determined to remove all bottlenecks at the departmental level in order to promote investment in IT and telecom sector of Pakistan. He noted that the improvement in connectivity was linked to telecom industry.
Additional Secretary (Incharge) Ministry of IT & Telecom Mohsin Mushtaq and senior officers of the Ministry were also present in the meeting.
