FBR freezes Punjab Saaf Pani Company bank account, recovers over Rs110m

ISLAMABAD: The Federal Board of Revenue (FBR) froze the bank accounts of Punjab Saaf Pani Company and recovered Rs110.02 million due to non-payment of tax arrears.
Punjab Saaf Pani Company defaulted on withholding tax for the year 2017. FBR Corporate Tax Office froze the PSPC bank accounts in Punjab Bank on Egerton Road and recovered the due amount. FBR audited the year 2017 and levied a tax on the Punjab Saaf Pani Company.
The FBR sources said that the accounts were frozen on the instructions of FBR Commissioner Enforcement-II Naeem Babar, adding that, the recovery was done under the leadership of Additional Commissioner Ayesha Ranjha.  The FBR recovery team included Deputy Commissioner Mazhar Ali, Naeem Fazil, Sajjad Ahmed, and Muhammad Waqar.
