KARACHI: Sindh Ajrak Day is being celebrated with traditional zeal and fevor across the province wherein a number of events are held to mark the day.
People also mark the day in Hyderabad and Tangwani wearing Sindhi cultural and traditional caps and Ajral. A number of rallies are being taken out in Sindh cities to celebrate the day and aware the young generation about Sindh cultural traditions.
PPP Chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari and former president Asif Ali Zardari while congratulating Sindh on celebrating Culture Day falling on 4 December said that conscious and civilized nations never forget their culture, civilization and language.
The founder of Pakistan People’s Party, Quaid Awam Shaheed Zulfikar Ali Bhutto, established the Ministry of Culture to highlight the cultures of Pakistan. Asif Ali Zardari said that Sindh has always kept its history and culture revered. He said that the people of Sindh have never forgotten their heroes who sacrificed their lives while protecting their culture and motherland.
Asif Ali Zardari said that Sindh is a land of peace, love, respect, and brotherhood as it has a great culture. He said Sindh is the land of Sufi elders, learned friends and brave people. He said that the people of Sindh should keep their culture alive and should not give place to any kind of extremism on their land.
