ISLAMABAD: A shocking revelation has emerged regarding the Social Security Institute of Islamabad’s administrative staff, where a senior officer’s unchecked power and financial improprieties have come to light. Deputy Director Iqbal Yousaf, who was previously implicated in illegal hiring practices, has now resorted to physical intimidation to secure an extension of his employment. Additionally, Yousaf has been exposed for operating a clandestine bio-medical center in Sector I-10, sharing lucrative kickbacks worth millions of rupees on a monthly basis.
According to sources, Deputy Director Yousaf has kept a close circle of individuals under his favor, warning them of dire consequences if they dare to expose his illicit activities. Recently, Yousaf not only facilitated the unlawful hiring of his own son but also attempted to receive an advance salary for the next five months by manipulating historical records. However, as soon as the matter surfaced in the media, Deputy Director Iqbal Yousaf chose to remain silent and has since focused on securing an extension of his tenure.
Furthermore, it has been revealed that Yousaf holds significant influence over the Biovision Medical Center, located in Sector I-10, where shares are being traded, and large sums of money are being collected as bribes. Sources have confirmed that Yousaf possesses the authority to award medical contracts and refuses to approve any bills without monetary compensation. Moreover, he exerts control over all members of the General Body, enabling him to make decisions according to his own will. Yousaf holds the power to hire, fire, and control all aspects of the organization.
The Chief Commissioner and Chairman of the CDA has turned a blind eye to the deteriorating situation at the Social Security Institute, which has persisted for the past ten years. This has raised serious questions about the compliance with rules and regulations regarding appointments to key positions within the administration.
The revelations of favoritism, unlawful actions, and the culture of silence within the ranks of high-ranking officers at the Social Security Institute have sparked concerns among Islamabad’s administration. The authorities are now faced with the responsibility of addressing these issues promptly and transparently to restore public trust.
As the investigations unfold, citizens eagerly await the actions that will be taken against the individuals involved and hope that these incidents serve as a turning point in ensuring accountability and upholding the principles of justice within the administrative bodies of Islamabad.
When contacted Iqbal Yousaf for comment, he didn’t attend the phone call by this correspondent.
