Islamabad : The 58th annual meeting of Sui Northern Gas Pipelines Limited was held on Tuesday, August 1, in Lahore. In the meeting, the shareholders of the company approved the annual accounts of the company, according to which the company earned a pre-tax profit of 15.50 billion rupees and after-tax profit of 10.37 billion rupees in the financial year 2021-22 and earnings per share remained at 16.34 rupees. . Also approved a 40 percent cash dividend on the basis of Rs.4 per share on behalf of the company’s shareholders on the recommendation of the Soi Northern Board of Directors. The shareholders of the company have decided to appoint M/s Yousuf Adil, Chartered Accountants once again as auditors of Soi Northern for the financial year 2022-23. According to the notification, publication of annual audited financial statements was also approved through QR code and web link. Addressing the annual meeting, Chairperson Board of Directors Ruhi Rais Khan appreciated the shareholders and said that various economic and financial problems. Despite this, Sui Northern has given excellent results. He said that the company has declared dividend for the sixth consecutive year. Ruhi Rais Khan encouraged the continuous efforts of the management and UFG control team in reducing UFG and said that it was only thanks to the company’s staff and skilled manpower that the targets set by the board could be achieved. A detailed question and answer session was held on the occasion in which the management gave satisfactory answers to the questions asked by the shareholders. In the annual meeting, the Chairperson Ms. Ruhi Rais Khan along with the Directors Manzoor Ahmed, Dr. Sohail Razi Khan, Mohammad Haroon K. Besides, Managing Director Aamir Tufail, Chief Financial Officer Faisal Iqbal and Company Secretary Imtiaz Mehmood were also present. Other directors including Ali Tahir, Shahbaz Tahir Nadeem and Syed Akhtar Ali participated in the meeting through video link. The annual general meeting was also attended by the senior management of the company. Chairperson Ruhi Raees Khan in the presence of the board of directors appreciated the exemplary efforts of the board members, management and staff. He thanked the Ministry of Energy (Petroleum Division) for its continuous support and excellent guidance. Managing Director Aamir Tufail while appreciating the cooperation of the Board and the Ministry of Energy (Petroleum Division) told the shareholders that the stable results of the company were possible as a result of the guidance of the Board and the sincere efforts of the team.
