Islamabad (Staff Reporter) In order to recover electricity dues from running and dead defaulters, following the instructions of the Government of Pakistan and the Ministry of Energy, recovery teams are carrying out indiscriminate and intensive operations in all operation circles of ISCO. According to the details, in one day on 03 October 2023, Islamabad Circle collected more than 21 lakh 32 thousand from 129 customers, Rawalpindi City Circle collected more than 7 lakh 28 thousand from 47 customers, Jhelum Circle collected more than 6 lakh 53 thousand from 29 customers, Chakwal Circle collected more than 5 lakh 27 thousand from 42 customers, while Rawalpindi Cantt Circle collected 12 lakh 5 from 32 defaulters. Received more than thousand . During the ongoing campaign from September 2023, a total amount of more than 31 crore 63 lakh has been recovered from 20 thousand 708 defaulters. ISCO chief Dr. Muhammad Amjad Khan said that besides disconnecting the meters of non-paying customers, the police have also arrested the defaulters. He asked the consumers to pay their electricity bills on time as a responsible citizen. He issued instructions to the field offices and said that recovery of electricity dues from the defaulters should be ensured in all cases and any kind of negligence and laziness in this campaign is unacceptable. .
