ISLAMABAD: The Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) has initiated an investigation into alleged fake allotments within the Capital Development Authority (CDA). Despite previous actions by the police, FIA, and the National Accountability Bureau (NAB), a corruption network involving CDA officials continues to thrive, particularly within the Land Directorate.
The focus of the latest inquiry revolves around the substitution of original plots with unauthorized allocations in Sector I-14. Additional Session Judge Ovais Khan has directed the FIA to present the entire file related to plot number 701, originally allotted to Abdul Rahman, and an additional file created under the name of Bhag Bai. The court has issued instructions, indicating the seriousness of the matter.
Deputy Director Afzal Niazi, in a written communication to CDA authorities, has urgently requested the submission of the original and Bhag Bai’s file to the FIA. Failure to cooperate may result in further legal action against CDA officials.
In a letter addressed to DG Land Imtiaz Gilani, the FIA emphasized the need for a comprehensive assessment of all recent allocations and allotments. The agency is determined to hold accountable any officers or employees involved in fraudulent practices related to fake allotments.
Citizens are increasingly calling for a thorough review of recent allocations and allotments, urging authorities to expose and penalize those responsible for engaging in deceptive allotment practices.
