LAHORE: In a commendable move to bolster the welfare of the police force, Inspector General Police Punjab, Dr. Usman Anwar, has initiated support for officers and officials grappling with legal cases arising from the performance of their official duties. This significant development was marked by a ceremony at the Central Police Office, where IG Punjab allocated 68 lakh rupees from the legal fund to 20 officials across six districts.

During the event, IG Punjab assured the gathered officers and officials that no one facing legal challenges in the courts for the sake of the department would be left unsupported. Dr. Usman Anwar emphasized the commitment to expanding the legal endowment fund to aid a greater number of police officers entangled in legal issues. He encouraged those facing cases on behalf of the department, stating that the legal fund aims to alleviate the financial burden on affected employees.
